September is Suicide Prevention & Awareness Month
Suicide is preventable, and with help comes hope. Be on the lookout September 9th through 13th on your campus for various activities to support Suicide Prevention & Awareness such as:
- Mardi Gras Beads with Meaning
- Purple beads – I have lost someone I care about to suicide
- Green beads – I have struggled myself with a mental health issue
- Yellow beads – I support the cause
- Mental Health screening with GHC & KSU counselors
- Video showings of “It’s Real” and “The Kevin Hines story”
- Library displays with resources and reading recommendations
