September is Suicide Prevention & Awareness Month

Suicide is preventable, and with help comes hope. Be on the lookout September 9th through 13th on your campus for various activities to support Suicide Prevention & Awareness such as:

  • Mardi Gras Beads with Meaning
    • Purple beads – I have lost someone I care about to suicide
    • Green beads – I have struggled myself with a mental health issue
    • Yellow beads – I support the cause
  • Mental Health screening with GHC & KSU counselors
  • Video showings of “It’s Real” and “The Kevin Hines story”
  • Library displays with resources and reading recommendations
