Honoring Black History Month: Frederick Douglass

“If there is no struggle, there is no progress.”

Frederick Douglass is one of the most well-known abolitionists in history. Enslaved Douglass eventually purchased his own freedom and started an anti-slavery newspaper. Through his writings, Douglass sparked a revolution to end slavery, then went on to become a statesman where he devoted his role to freedom and equality.
