Take Charge – Help Stop the Spread!

Good day, Chargers!

It takes all of us working together to stop the spread of COVID-19. Help everyone at Georgia Highlands College as we all TAKE CHARGE to make our college a safe place to study, learn, and work.

Here are a few frequently asked questions that can help ensure we all continue to prioritize the health and safety of everyone at GHC.

I’m sick. What should I do?

Students and Employees should report COVID-19 close-contact exposure and/or positive test results by contacting: HR_Covid-19@highlands.edu or (706) 368-7724

Should I get the COVID-19 vaccine?

The University System of Georgia recognizes COVID-19 vaccines offer safe, effective protection and urges all students, faculty, staff and visitors to get vaccinated. (More info on where to get a vaccine can be found at vaccines.gov).

Do I need to wear a mask? What are the campus guidelines?

Everyone is encouraged to wear a mask or face covering while inside campus facilities. The system continues to work closely with the Georgia Department of Public Health to prioritize the health and safety of our campus communities.

Visit chargeahead.highlands.edu for more details about GHC’s campus guidelines, information for students, information for employees, and a comprehensive FAQs page. Data and reports regarding cases, the CARES act, and state vaccine distributions can also be found on this page.

By continuing to follow campus guidelines and self-reporting COVID-19 cases, everyone at GHC can help stop the spread.

Let’s all CHARGE AHEAD!
