Good day, Charger Family!
The ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic continue to make this a difficult time to study and work, but we have a way to take charge and make a difference.
Over the next several weeks, healthcare professionals who attended Georgia Highlands College and who are notable members of our alumni network are sharing their experiences with COVID-19 and the best ways we can overcome this pandemic.
In this episode, GHC alumnus Chuck Hufstetler talks about the importance of the vaccine. He works as an anesthesiologist at Redmond Hospital in Rome and serves as a Georgia State Senator.

From the video: “Over 95% of those in the hospital (with COVID-19) around the state have been from an unvaccinated population.”
The University System of Georgia recognizes COVID-19 vaccines offer safe, effective protection and urges all students, faculty, staff, and visitors to get vaccinated.
More information on where to get a vaccine can be found at vaccines.gov
As an additional measure of caution, everyone is encouraged to wear a mask or face covering while inside campus facilities. GHC and the USG continue to work closely with the Georgia Department of Public Health to prioritize the health and safety of our campus communities.
If you haven’t already, please strongly consider getting the COVID-19 vaccine – and let’s all continue to CHARGE AHEAD at GHC!
All best,
Dana
