Yvonne Springer was a Licensed Practical Nurse and Georgia Highlands College student in the Bridge to Professional Nursing program. She passed away this spring, having completed her first eight weeks in the program.

Faculty and classmates remember her has a caring, kind, and compassionate person who was ready to help anyone in need. She brought a sense of calm, caring, and strength that encouraged others. As one faculty member stated: “She persevered through her illness to come to class faithfully and perform at a high level to achieve her lifelong goal of becoming a registered nurse. She was the epitome of a nurse and will be missed greatly by her peers, fellow students, and faculty at GHC.”
