Attention GHC students residing in Chattooga County and attending Spring 2021 classes: Apply now for the Jim & Leatha Richie Scholarship!

Application deadline is February 5, 2021.

This $1,000 scholarship was established by family and friends to honor the Summerville couple most remembered for their mentoring to area teenagers, many of whom worked in the Richies’ store.

Scholarship eligibility requirements:

  • Permanent resident of Chattooga County.
  • Recipient must enroll full-time at Georgia Highlands College for the duration of the scholarship award period.
  • Recipient must have financial need as determined by the FAFSA and GHC office of Financial Aid.
  • The scholarship is for one academic year, disbursed between fall and spring semesters providing the student maintains the above requirements.

Application qualifications:

  1. Have acompleted 2020/2021 FAFSA on file with GHC.
  2. Be a US Citizen or equivalent (Alien Resident or Permanent Resident).
  3. Be aGeorgia resident.
  4. Have a cumulative GPAof 2.0 or above.
  5. Have a current andcomplete AwardSpring application on file (click on link below to apply):
