Action Required: Please Update Your Duo Mobile App

To ensure your Duo authentication continues working smoothly, all users must update the Duo Mobile app to the latest version.

What’s Happening?

Duo is updating its security certificates due to upcoming changes in Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. Older versions of Duo Mobile will no longer work once these changes take effect.

How to check your Duo Mobile version?

  • Open the Duo Mobile app.
  • Tap the menu icon in the upper-left corner.
  • Find the version number displayed at the bottom left of the menu pane.
  • Make sure you are on version 4.85.0 or higher.

What You Need to Do

Update Duo Mobile on your device as soon as possible.
You can update it through:
  • Apple App Store (iPhone/iPad)
  • Google Play Store (Android)

Just search for “Duo Mobile” and tap Update.

Key Dates

  • February 2, 2026 – Soft Cut‑Over:
    Older Duo versions may start having issues sending push notifications or completing authentication.
  • March 31, 2026 – Hard Cut‑Over:
    Outdated versions of Duo will stop working completely.

What This Means for You

If you do not update Duo Mobile:
  • You may stop receiving Duo push notifications.
  • You may be unable to log in to applications that require Duo authentication.
