Student – Work Study AVID Tutor – Marietta
Job Summary
Facilitate the AVID tutorial process among small groups of middle school students at:
Pearson Middle School, 240 Barber Road, Marietta, GA 30060.
The applicant will report to Mitchell Askew at Pearson Middle School
Applicant must be a current Georgia Highlands Student
Responsibilities
- Engage middle school students in a process of collaborative inquiry
- Provide written and verbal feedback to students
- Increase college awareness and readiness
- Serve as a mentor to students
- Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance
- Participate in mandatory AVID tutor training
- Communicate with supervising teacher regularly
- Accept feedback and use feedback for growth in the position
Proposed Salary
$10/hr.
19 hrs/week
