February is National Cancer Prevention Month. Some tips to prevent cancer are:
- Don’t use tobacco
- Protect your skin from the sun
- Eat a plant-based diet
- Maintain a healthy weight and be physically active
- Limit alcohol
- Practice safer sex and avoid risky behaviors
- Get immunized (HPV and Hepatitis B vaccines)
- Know your family history and get recommended cancer screenings
