With the new semester comes some changes at the Floyd Campus with several renovation and construction projects on-going.
One of these projects which directly impact students on a daily basis is a major change to the parking lot alignments. The previous faculty/staff reserved lot located between the McCorkle and Lakeview buildings is no more. To accommodate faculty and staff, several parking spots in the primary parking lot in front of McCorkle Building have been reassigned as Faculty/Staff Reserved and are no longer available for student parking.
Please be aware that the approximately first 15 spaces closest to the building along the first three rows of parking spots have been repainted with “Faculty/Staff Reserved” and are NOT to be used by students at any time. Several spots in front of the Lakeview building entrance have also been reassigned as Faculty/Staff Reserved.
Additionally, all “Visitor” parking available for guests have been relocated to the single strip of parking spots directly in front of the GHC Tower between McCorkle and Walraven buildings. These “Visitor” spots are also not to be used by students. Handicapped parking is still located along the first row of spots in front of McCorkle as well as in the Visitor area, and these spots are only to be used by vehicles with the appropriate handicapped parking tag. Please refer to the map below for a visual representation of the new parking configurations.
